Kate Wallbank

Kate Wallbank is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has been working full time in private practice since graduating with a Doctorate from USYD in 2009. Kate specialises in the treatment of childhood trauma in adults, post-traumatic stress, dysfunctional relationship patterns and co-dependency.

Kate is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is a full member of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She can provide specialist psychological services under Medicare.

Kate primarily uses Schema Therapy and Brainspotting (https://vimeo.com/187493121) to help her clients process negative experiences and improve their quality of life. Often her clients have tried other psychological therapies in the past and are looking for a deeper approach. Kate’s treatment is also influenced by her training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). She has also just begun a three-year course in Somatic Experiencing.

Kate enjoys working deeply and collaboratively with her clients to help them work through their current difficulties and move forward with their life goals. She is currently available for appointments every second Saturday.
