Amy Forth has a passion for women’s health, fertility and developing acupuncture as a mainstream and accessible part of modern healthcare. She has recently moved to Sydney to complete a Master of Global Health in which she hopes to further research into integrative health care practices.
Amy has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture over eight years, of which much of her time has been spent in Melbourne’s leading natural health clinic for fertility and pregnancy care. She has helped hundreds of couples experiencing fertility issues, going through IVF and offered acupuncture support through out pregnancy.
Amy lights up when she asked about Chinese medicines, as she is perpetually inspired by the changes and the benefits Chinese medicine facilitate with in her patients. She just simply loves what she does!
Amy offers caring, up to date, evidence based and well informed treatment and support for all. She has a wealth of experience with patients seeking treatment for fertility, pregnancy and other health issues. Amy has an integrated approach, which means she often refers her patients to work concurrently with other health care practitioners such as allied health professionals, specialists and GP’s. Amy delights in collaborating with other health care professionals, to deliver the most comprehensive and effective care for her patients.
Her extensive experience in supporting couples with fertility and pregnancy issues including conditions such as:
- Men’s and women’s fertility, unexplained infertility, IVF/IUI support, ovulation disorders, Natural Killer Cells, hormonal imbalances, luteal phase defect and post-pill amenorrhea, sperm irregularities, such as low motility, poor morphology, low sperm count.
- Women health conditions such as menstrual irregularities, painful periods and pelvic pain including endometriosis, PCOS.
- Pregnancy support including morning sickness and nausea, breech presentation, pelvic instability, carpel tunnel, high blood pressure, birth preparation and induction.
Amy is a leader in her field, and has presented to many leading health care institutions on acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy care, including IVF clinics, Hospital’s and Obstetrics practices.
She is passionate about social changes, and making acupuncture a mainstream and accessible part of health care in Australia, including refugee health and volunteered her time at Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in Melbourne.
Her other experience also includes running her own busy clinic for some years for in country Victoria, presenting to Hospitals and health care institutions on acupuncture care and facilitating workshops on acupressure for childbirth, as well as teaching yoga and meditation. In her spare time Amy maybe found chipping away at a Master of Global Health, in unusual positions at yoga class, or chatting away over a cup of tea.
Amy is a registered practitioner with AHPRA, and member of ATMS, and is widely accepted for all major private health funds.
